Maine Ribbing

John Maine took a lot of ribbing from his teammates and even the media after last night’s 8-4 win over the Pirates. After hitting his first career home run, he didn’t hear the end of it and was called a power hitter by some Mets.

But it continued today. After doing a PSA, someone tome Maine he was now a TV star after his home run. And Maine was the main man before the game.

Unfortunately, Carlos Beltran wasn’t straining his abdominal muscle during batting practice, the Mets centerfielder was scratched in favor of Lastings Milledge and Marlon Anderson. He is day-to-day.
