NEW YORK – If there were any questions about who is in charge of the Knicks, they quickly answered last night.
All you would have to do is look at the end of the bench to see Eddie Curry and Stephon Marbury – the poster boys of the Isiah Thomas regime – watching the game, but [...]

If there’s any doubt out there about who runs the Rangers, the answer has clearly been stated.
This is Tom Renney’s team from top to bottom and the coach has put his stamp on the Broadway squad down to the last man on the roster.
Not since Herb Brooks stood behind the bench has a Ranger team [...]

On Aug. 6, 2008, the New York Jets were an irrelevant team. Coming off a 4-12 season, Gang Green was in a precarious position competing with the Super Bowl champs in their same market while both baseball teams get the back pages during their offseason, when the hot stove league gets fired up. Let’s not [...]

FLUSHING, NY – Things have sure changed around here at Shea Stadium over the past month. The Jerry Manuel era is in full swing with the transition period complete and the team winning games like it’s 2006 all over again.
Six games in a row will calm any clubhouse but this is not about the streak, [...]

Sean Avery got away and Jaromir Jagr may be the next to go. Even the always lucrative Cablevision money isn’t enough to get the big name this year to the Garden.
So what’s Glen Sather to do?
Make a trade, of course.
After inking Wade Redden and Michal Rozsival on Tuesday, Sather delt some of his blue line [...]

It’s been tough to be up close and personal with the New York Rangers after their season ended in May. As a reporter who covers two sports, I move directly to Shea Stadium once Madison Square Garden goes dark for the summer. So I know as much about the Rangers these days as the general [...]

FLUSHING, NY - It’s Johan Santana’s job to win games. His given profession is to throw strikes and get batters out with his changeup. Nowhere in his job description does it say he has to prove Hank Steinbrenner wrong.

Willie Randolph deserved better. He deserved to be treated like a man and not twist in the wind for the past few weeks, while the Mets decided his fate.
And most certainly, he did not deserve to be fired under the pale moonlight.

FLUSHING, NY - Willie Randolph may have been the only one at Shea last night thankful for the rain out. No game meant he still had a win in his back pocket from Friday, and the good will from Oliver Perez’s performance was the only thing not washed away from the storm.
The manager, though, still [...]
