In the midst of the 3-0 Mets loss to the San Francisco Giants, a seventh inning double by Paul Lo Duca gave him a milestone, his 1,000th hit.
“It means a lot,” Lo Duca said. “I am only 3,000 away from Pete [Rose]. It’s neat. Grinding away for seven or eight years, it’s an accomplishment.”

Tom Glavine had a tough first inning tonight giving up two runs with a single by Pedro Feliz. It should be interesting to see if the Mets can bounce back against Barry Zito. Although they have something going on here in the second.
