Willie Randolph deserved better. He deserved to be treated like a man and not twist in the wind for the past few weeks, while the Mets decided his fate.

And most certainly, he did not deserve to be fired under the pale moonlight.

Still waiting and the Johan Santana extension won’t happen to tomorrow. [Did you expect anything else?] Anyway, the Mets claimed Ruddy Lugo, late of the Oakland A’s and my high school and also made Dan Warthen the pitching coach at New Orleans.
