FLUSHING, NY - It’s Johan Santana’s job to win games. His given profession is to throw strikes and get batters out with his changeup. Nowhere in his job description does it say he has to prove Hank Steinbrenner wrong.

They held the Rule V Draft today and the Mets took AA closer Steven Register from the Rockies system
Going to be 25 next season, Register went 1-3 with 37 saves and a 4.03 ERA last season in 61 games.
