According to today’s NY Daily News, the Mets are among 11 teams looking at free agent pitcher Mark Prior. Coming off shoulder surgery, the righthander may be ready to pitch in the majors at the end of May.

Not much going on here in Nashville. Just standing around waiting for news to break. True there are rumors and one is that Omar and Andy McPhail met today on Erik Bedard.

NASHVILLE – Although I am staying in the cheap-o hotel a few miles away, I was at Opryland today and it is beautiful. All decked out for Christmas ,it is like a Vegas Casino without the casino part and the highrise – read: very large and somewhat gimicky.
